Currently, increasing globalization is making a profound impact on all spheres of human activities, causing anti-globalization forces to enhance their counter-efforts. Thus, the problems of each nation’s development are the focus of global attention. Historically, the city of Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan (part of the Russian Federation) has been the center of the Tatar people’s consolidation, as Tatars compactly live on the territory of various countries of the world (USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, China, Germany, Finland, Poland, Turkey, Lithuania, etc.). Consequently, our interest is naturally connected with the study of the history, language, literature, folklore, social thought, religion, education, culture and art of the Tatar people in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Federation, and the countries of near and far abroad. We feel the urgent need to integrate the results of global scientific research in these areas.
To this end, in 2013, the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University” launched the publication of the international scientific journal “Tatarica”, which meets modern world standards. It publishes the works of Tatar humanities scholars from all regions of the world and other pieces of research, corresponding to the goals and objectives of the journal. We also provide detailed information about the activities of all prominent Tatar scientists, regardless of their scientific interests.
